About Stacking Games

Stacking games are the digital version of building a tower of blocks as high as it will go, with the same mix of care, nerve and just a little risk. Every layer depends on the one below it, so one sloppy placement makes everything above it harder. It is simple, tactile and strangely calming, right up until the moment the tower gets tall.

Stackfall is our 3D tower stacking game. A square slab slides over the top of your tower, first along one side and then the other, and you tap to drop it. Any part that hangs over the edge is sliced off and tumbles away, so your tower slowly shrinks unless you keep your drops clean. Land a perfect drop and it snaps into place; string three together and each further perfect grows your slab back. The speed picks up every four floors, every tenth floor is a golden slab that tops a rooftop of the city around you, and a round lasts up to a minute.

Stacking games are close cousins of our timing games and one-button games, and they sit alongside the rest of our skill games. The tallest towers on the leaderboard are verified by replaying each ranked run on our servers, so every floor was really built.

A game where you place blocks or slabs on top of each other to build as high as possible, usually with precise timing.
