About Reaction Games

Reaction games measure the gap between seeing and doing. Something appears, something moves, something changes, and you have a fraction of a second to respond. They are fast, honest and endlessly replayable, because your reflexes really do sharpen with practice and your score shows it.

Pop Pulse is a pure reaction test: fireworks bloom anywhere in the sky over a night harbour and burn down until they fizzle, so the faster you tap, the more points each is worth, and red duds punish anyone who taps before they look. Lane Rush tests a different kind of reaction, reading the slope ahead and carving into another lane before a tree arrives, with a speed that keeps climbing. Pop Pulse and a Timed run of Lane Rush are over in a minute and a half at most, so it is easy to fit in a few attempts and watch your score improve. Snake Rush adds a classic: the snake speeds up every fifth fruit, so each turn has to come a little sooner than the last.

Reaction games are a great warm-up before work or study, and a fun way to compare reflexes with friends through the weekly leaderboards. Scores are verified by replaying each ranked run on our servers, so nobody can fake a lightning-fast reaction. For more, try our aim games, action games and skill games.

Frequently asked questions

  • How can I test my reaction time online?

Play a fast reaction game like Pop Pulse: the quicker you set off each firework, the more it is worth, so your score reflects your reaction speed.

  • Do reaction games improve reflexes?

Regular practice makes you faster at the specific task you practise, and many players enjoy seeing their scores climb over time. We make games, not medical claims.

  • Are reaction games better with a mouse or touch?

Both work. Some players are faster with a mouse, others with a finger; try both and compare your scores.
