About Shooting Games

Shooting games ask you to do two things at once: move to stay alive and aim to clear the way. The best of them feel like a dance, weaving through danger while every shot lands where you meant it to. On Gamefinity they are fast, short and free, they run in your browser with no download, and they are built for the precision of a keyboard and mouse.

Neon Siege is a twin-stick arena shooter. Move with WASD, aim with the mouse, click to fire and press Space to dash out of trouble. Waves of enemies fill the arena for two minutes, and the whole art is keeping your movement and your aim independent: back away from the crowd while your shots cut across it.

Good shooting starts with good aim, and aim is something you can practise. Flick Drill is a desktop aim trainer with flick, tracking and precision stages: flicking tests how fast you snap onto a target (and whether you hold fire on a blue no-shoot plate), tracking how smoothly you follow one and precision how cleanly you place each shot. A few rounds make a good warm-up before a run of Neon Siege, and the aim games collect more games that test your accuracy.

Both games are marked Desktop only, because they are built around aiming with a mouse, and both live on the PC games page with the rest of our games for computers. Neon Siege is part of our action games; if you enjoy fast reflexes, the reaction games are worth a look too.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can I play these shooting games on my phone?

No. Neon Siege and Flick Drill are Desktop only, because they are built around aiming with a mouse. Play them on a computer.

  • What are the controls in Neon Siege?

WASD moves, the mouse aims, clicking fires and Space dashes.

  • What is a twin-stick shooter?

A shooter where you move and aim separately, so you can run one way and shoot another. In Neon Siege, the keyboard moves you and the mouse aims.

  • Does an aim trainer help in shooting games?

It practises the aiming part on its own. Flick Drill's flick, tracking and precision stages each work on a different kind of aim, so a few rounds make a good warm-up.
