About Speedrun Games
Speedrunning is the art of finishing a game as fast as possible. It turns every level into a puzzle about routes, risks and fractions of a second, and it gives even a familiar game endless replay value. On Gamefinity, speedrun games have a finish line and a fastest-clear leaderboard alongside the usual top scores, so you can race the clock as well as chase points.
Maze Dash is a natural speedrun: five mazes on one timer, where queuing your turns in advance and reading the route at a glance can take a clear from well over a minute to well under one. Two more races come in threes: Word Search Rush has three word search grids to clear, and Sudoku Sprint three mini sudokus, where a wrong number takes five seconds off the clock.
Fastest times are verified like every other score: each ranked run is replayed on our servers, and the recorded time comes from the game's own clock, so there are no stopwatch disputes. If you love shaving off seconds, you will also enjoy our competitive games, maze games, sudoku games and word search games.
Frequently asked questions
What is a speedrun game?
A game with a clear finish, where you compete on the fastest time to reach it as well as on score.
Which games have fastest-time leaderboards?
Maze Dash (clear all five mazes), Word Search Rush (clear all three grids) and Sudoku Sprint (solve all three sudokus). Each game page shows the fastest-clear board next to the top scores.
How is my time measured?
By the game itself, in exact game ticks from the start of the run to the finish, and it is verified by replaying the run on our servers, so times are precise to the frame. Time penalties, like the five seconds Sudoku Sprint takes for a wrong number, shorten the in-game clock and your time bonus, while the fastest-clear board ranks the real time you took.
