How to play Neon Breaker
Move the paddle with your mouse, by dragging anywhere on a touch screen (a thumb below the paddle works best), or with the left and right arrow keys (or A and D).
Launch the ball with a click, a tap, Space, Enter, the up arrow or W. If you wait, it launches by itself.
Keep the ball in play by catching it on the paddle. Where it lands on the paddle sets its new angle, and the dotted guide shows where it will go: the edges send it sideways, the centre sends it straight up.
Break the bricks with a capsule inside and catch the capsule as it falls: multi-ball, a wide paddle, a laser or a fireball. Hit TNT to blow up everything around it; steel never breaks.
Break every breakable brick to clear the wall and get a ball back. You have three balls and 90 seconds; each ball left at the end adds 500 points.

Tips
Catch every capsule you safely can: multi-ball and fireball clear a wall faster than any aiming.
Aim for the TNT. One blast takes out up to eight bricks, and TNT next to TNT sets off a chain reaction.
Dig a tunnel through the wall. Once the ball gets above the bricks it bounces between them and the ceiling, and every brick it breaks there adds to your chain bonus.
Watch the dotted aim guide as the ball comes down and move the paddle so the guide points where you want to hit.
With several balls in play, follow the lowest one: the others usually come down later.
Steel bricks never break, so use them as bumpers to send the ball back into the wall.
Clearing a wall gives a ball back, so pushing on to the next wall is worth more than playing it safe.
About Neon Breaker
Neon Breaker is a free brick breaker game you play right in your browser. Steer a thick glass paddle along a glowing synthwave floor, bounce the ball into a wall of chunky neon bricks and smash through as many as you can before the 90-second clock runs out. It takes the classic breakout formula that arcade fans have loved since the 1970s, adds the power-ups made famous by Arkanoid, and tunes it for short, intense sessions: you get three balls, every brick lands on your score straight away, and a good run clears three or four different walls.
Some bricks carry a power-up capsule. Break one and the capsule falls toward you: catch it with the paddle to trigger it. Multi-ball splits every ball in play into three, Wide stretches your paddle for fifteen seconds, Laser fires bolts from the paddle by itself, and Fireball lets the ball smash straight through every brick it touches. Red TNT bricks blow up all their neighbours, and a TNT brick caught in a blast goes off a moment later, so one good shot can set off a chain reaction across the wall. Steel bricks never break, so you have to play around them.
The arena is wide and built for landscape screens. On a computer the paddle follows your mouse or trackpad exactly; on a phone or tablet, held sideways, you drag anywhere and the paddle moves with your finger, so a thumb resting below the paddle never covers the ball. You can also play entirely with the keyboard. Where the ball meets the paddle decides its new angle, and a dotted guide shows where the bounce will send it, so aiming is a skill you can see and learn.
Every wall has its own layout and its own trick. Sunrise is a small, friendly first wall; Arcade adds an armoured crown and steel studs; Diamond hides a cross of TNT inside armoured rings; Fortress walls its capsules in behind steel with a single gate; Checker spreads bricks on alternate squares so the ball rattles through. The ball speeds up from wall to wall and every five levels each brick gains armour. Clearing a wall pays a big bonus and gives you a ball back, and a safety net under every new ball forgives your first miss.
Scoring rewards both precision and nerve. A broken brick is worth more the tougher it was, and every brick you break before the ball touches the paddle again adds a chain bonus, so a ball rattling above the wall or a TNT chain racks up points fast. Capsules are worth 100 each, cleared walls 1,000 times the level, and balls you still have at the bell add 500 each. Newcomers can simply keep the ball alive and catch every capsule; veterans dig tunnels, aim for the TNT and chase a fourth wall.

Neon Breaker FAQ
Is Neon Breaker free to play?
Yes. Neon Breaker is completely free and runs in your web browser on desktop, laptop, tablet and phone. There is nothing to download or install, and you don't need an account to play.
What power-ups are there?
Four, each inside a capsule brick: multi-ball splits every ball into three, wide makes your paddle half as wide again for 15 seconds, laser fires bolts from the paddle for 10 seconds, and fireball lets the ball smash through bricks for 7 seconds. Catch the falling capsule with the paddle to use it.
What do TNT and steel bricks do?
A TNT brick blows up the eight bricks around it when it breaks, and a TNT brick caught in the blast goes off a moment later, so they chain. Steel bricks never break and don't need to be cleared.
How long does a game of Neon Breaker last?
Every run lasts 90 seconds, or less if you lose all three balls. That makes it a good fit for a short break.
Can I play Neon Breaker on my phone?
Yes. Turn your phone sideways, drag anywhere to move the paddle (it follows your finger's movement, so you can keep your thumb below it) and tap to launch the ball.
Can I play with just the keyboard?
Yes. Move the paddle with the left and right arrow keys or A and D, and launch the ball with Space, Enter, the up arrow or W. Lasers fire by themselves, so you never need another key.
How is the score calculated?
A hit that only cracks a brick is worth 10 points. A broken brick is worth 50 points for every hit it could take, plus 10 for each level beyond the first, plus a chain bonus of 10 for every brick broken since the ball last touched the paddle (up to 200). Capsules are worth 100, a cleared wall 1,000 times the level, and each ball left at the end 500.
Is Neon Breaker like Breakout or Arkanoid?
Yes. It follows the classic brick breaker formula of Breakout, with Arkanoid-style power-up capsules, plus TNT chain reactions, five wall layouts, a 90-second clock and verified leaderboards.
What is a Ranked attempt?
A Ranked attempt is one official run that goes on the leaderboard. Gamefinity records your inputs and replays them on its servers to check the score, then marks it as verified, which keeps the leaderboards fair for everyone.
