Loops mend and harden you

As the Night wears on, loops keep you alive. Every loop that catches bugs mends you a little for each one, and every few big loops add a point of Ward: armor that softens every hit, up to a cap. Your Ward shows under your health bar. A keeper who never loops gets neither.

From 10:00 · Mend 1.5 HP per bug caught, at most 25% of max HP a loop

Ward +1 armor every 3 loops of 3+ bugs, up to 40

Hurt? Back off and heal

Late in the Night a badly hurt keeper heals faster, so you can back off and recover. Heal up, then loop again.
