How to play Drift Circuit

  1. Your car drives itself along a road that zigzags up the screen, high above the clouds.

  2. Tap anywhere on the screen, click, or press Space or any arrow key to switch the car's direction.

  3. Each tap swings it the other way: from up-left to up-right, or from up-right back to up-left.

  4. Tap just before each corner so the car drifts round it and lands in the middle of the next straight.

  5. Stay on the road: if the middle of the car goes over the edge, it falls.

  6. Grab coins and power-ups, chain perfect corners into a combo, and go as far as you can.

  7. Pick a mode: Endless runs until you fall, Timed stops after 90 seconds.

Tips

  1. Tap a little before the corner, not at it: the car needs a few metres to swing round, so tap when the front of the car reaches the start of the corner's square.

  2. If you come out of a corner near the inside edge, a quick double tap nudges the car back toward the middle. Near the outside edge you cannot steer back, so nail the next corner instead.

  3. Follow the coins: on the S-bends and zigzags they lie along the perfect line through the corners.

  4. Keep your rhythm steady on the long straights and save your focus for the short S-bends, where two taps come quickly.

  5. Before a ramp, make sure the car is straight: it flies on in whatever direction it leaves the lip.

  6. Pick up rescues when you see them: each one catches one fall and keeps your run alive.

About Drift Circuit

Drift Circuit is a one-tap drift game in 3D, in the style of the endless zigzag games made popular by Drift Boss. A red sports car drives itself along a narrow road that floats high in a sunny sky, among little floating islands, and the road never stops zigzagging. Tap to switch the car's direction, right or left, and slide round every corner sideways in a big cloud of white tyre smoke. Leave the edge of the road and the car falls into the clouds, so the whole game is in one question: when do you tap?

That one question is enough to keep you playing. Tap at the right moment before a corner and the car drifts round it and settles right in the middle of the next straight: a perfect drift, worth bonus points and a growing combo. Tap a little early or late and you come out off-centre; much too early or late and you slide off the side. Gold coins line the straights and follow the perfect line through the S-bends, and power-ups wait on some straights: a rescue that catches your next fall, a magnet that pulls in every coin nearby and 2× points.

Every run starts gently, on a wide road at an easy speed with long straights and a safety net that catches your first fall in the first 30 seconds, so a new player gets the feel of it straight away. Then the road gets faster and narrower tier by tier, and new pieces come in: tight S-bends, zigzags, narrow bridges and ramps that launch you over gaps in the road. The speed keeps climbing, so even the best runs end. Milestones mark every 500 metres, and a line on the road shows where your best run of the session ended.

There are two ways to play. Endless has no timer: you drive until you fall, and the leaderboard is about how far you got, since every metre is worth ten points and distance makes up most of the score. Timed gives you 90 seconds on the same road, for a quick round and for the daily challenge; there, coins and perfect drifts decide who comes out on top. Each mode has its own all-time and weekly leaderboards, verified by replaying your run on our servers.

Drift Circuit plays the same on every device. On a phone, tap anywhere on the screen, upright or sideways; on a computer, tap the space bar or any arrow key, or click. Nothing needs holding. It sits with our other racing games and car games, and it is one of our one-button games and timing games, where a single press at the right moment is the whole skill. If you like going as far as you can, try the endless runner games too, and for a short break see the quick games, on mobile or PC.

Free play is unlimited and there is nothing to download. Warm up with a few runs, learn where to tap before each corner, then take a Ranked attempt when you are ready to put a distance on the board.

Drift Circuit FAQ

  • Is Drift Circuit like Drift Boss?

It plays the same way: one button, a car that drives itself along a zigzag road, a tap to switch direction at each corner, and the run ends when you fall off the edge. Drift Circuit adds a bright 3D world of floating islands above the clouds, coins, perfect-drift combos, power-ups, ramps over gaps and a timed mode, and it is free in your browser.

  • How do I control the car?

With one tap. Tap anywhere on the screen, click, or press Space or any arrow key to switch the car's direction; nothing needs holding. The car speeds up on its own.

  • When should I tap to take a corner?

Just before it. The car takes a few metres to swing round, so tap when the front of the car reaches the corner's square. Get it right and you score a perfect drift; on your first runs, a coloured line on the road shows the spot.

  • Does Drift Circuit ever end?

In Endless mode, only when you fall off. There is no timer, but the road keeps getting faster and narrower, so every run ends eventually. Timed mode is the same road on a 90-second clock.

  • How is the score calculated?

Every metre you drive is worth 10 points, each coin 10, and every perfect corner a bonus that grows with your combo. Distance makes up most of the score, so the Endless leaderboard is mostly about how far you got.

  • What do the power-ups do?

A rescue catches your next fall and puts the car back on the road; the magnet pulls in every coin nearby for 10 seconds; 2× doubles your coin and corner points for 10 seconds. Every run also starts with a safety net that catches your first fall in the first 30 seconds.

  • Can I play Drift Circuit on my phone?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers, held upright or sideways: tap anywhere on the screen to switch direction.
